Today I thought I'd do a little bit of a different post than my usual fashion posts so you can get to know me a little better. I'm a pretty boring person but I answered a heap of questions to the best of my abilities and it took strangely long so now my bottom hurts from sitting down in the same spot for too long. I HOPE YOU ENJOY LEARNING A LITTLE BIT ABOUT ME!

This summer I went to the beach a lot because Bodhi really loves the beach and seeing Bodhi at the beach is one of my favourite feelings ever. Anyway, I will have a post up sometime of a day at the beach with Bodhi, but for the meantime I thought I'd share a beach day outfit post. I paired this gorgeous crochet crop top with a vintage floral maxi skirt that my mum used to wear in the 90's. Outfits like these are just so comfortable and fun at the same time so it's a win win situation.

To mark the end of summer and welcome the autumn, Bodhi went for a lovely walk through South Fremantle. I took some photos of our day out and thought I'd share them with you! I love seeing Bodhi explore new places and shove his big, curious head into every interesting thing he can find - walls, people, gravel, sand - you name it, Bodhi probably thinks it's the coolest thing ever.

First of all - I apologize for my sudden absence in the last week. School got very hectic and I am being overloaded with tests and assessments all at once however on the plus side, I am halfway through my first term back so soon I'll get two weeks off to focus on blogging!
A few weeks ago, I was fortunate enough to be sent this INCREDIBLE 'Must Have Professional Brush Set' by the wonderful people over at Furless Cosmetics. This is not my first time trying Furless products as I have been a big fan of their cruelty free and vegan friendly beauty products for quite some time so I was super excited to be able to try this brush set out. It retails online for $149.95 and the brushes come in a handy little brush apron that is perfect for travelling or if you do freelance makeup.

1. I did my regular base routine to even out my skin tone - I used my Face It Radiance Concealer under my eyes and on any blemishes and set it all with my L'oreal Translucide Powder in Light.
2. Next up I primed my eyes and eyeshadow is optional for this, but I just swept a warm toned medium brown all over the lid to add more dimension and emphasise the eyes.
3. As for eyeliner, I stuck to my holy grail Clio Kill Black Liquid Eyeliner to create a winged eyeliner look. I took the line past the inner corner of my eye for a more elongated look and also made sure to thicken the eyeliner in the middle portion of my eye to try to balance it out by making the eyes look slightly more open.
4. Do your brows and apply mascara as per usual - you can use dramatic falsies for a more bold look.
5. Next up, I literally piled on the bronzer. Using my NYC smooth skin sunny bronzer, I used an angle brush to apply the powder slightly above where you would usually contour. This gives the appearance of lifted cheekbones. Once you've put on enough product and the bronzer is prominent, blend out the edges and add white dots on top of the bronzer with a white kajal eyeliner pencil.
6. Use a black kajal eyeliner pencil to create the nose by colouring in the tip of your nose in.
7. Draw a straight line down from the centre of the nose where you have filled it in and connect it to the middle of your cupid's bow.
8. Fill in your top lip with the black eyeliner to complete the look.

[HAT: Dotti DRESS: Bugis Lane in Singapore]
Today's outfit was loosely based off Emma from one of my favourite tv shows, Red Band Society. Emma's style is very preppy and incorporates some of my favourite style elements including high collars and hats. Emma, who is played by the talented Ciara Bravo, is definitely one of my favorite style icons on TV at the moment. Her fun and quirky style is the perfect balance between preppy and rocker chick - a combination that I wouldn't usually gravitate towards, but am loving at the moment.
This particular outfit would be perfect for the fall season paired with some tights ( you can even add a pop of colour by wearing coloured tights such as burgundy or forest green) and some ankle boots. I adore the subtle plaid print on the dress as it adds an extra bit of detail to the otherwise quite simple dress. I completely forgot to photograph the shoes that I paired with this outfit but I wore a pair of burgundy T-bar flat shoes (similar to the doc marten core polly t bar flat shoes) that I also purchased in Bugis Lane from the store 'Plain Jane'.
